Sizes based on your needs
Our LPG is bottled in 9kg (20 pounds) steel cylinders and, soon, 10kg (22 pounds) composite cylinders. These sizes are primarily intended for domestic use. Domestic customers, as well as some commercial and industrial customers, use Guygas’ 45kg (100lb) cylinders. Guygas also provides bulk deliveries to commercial and industrial customers, with tank sizes 57, 79, 110, 120, 250, 500, and 1,000 gallons in stock.

Commercial & Industrial LPG
Our LPG is bottled in 9kg (20 pounds) steel cylinders and, soon, 10kg (22 pounds) composite cylinders. These sizes are primarily intended for domestic use. Domestic customers, as well as some commercial and industrial customers, use Guygas’ 45kg (100lb) cylinders. Guygas also provides bulk deliveries to commercial and industrial customers, with tank sizes 57, 79, 110, 120, 250, 500, and 1,000 gallons in stock.
Oxygen & Acetylene
Guygas through its cryogenic air separation plant produces oxygen at a purity level of 99.9% and is bottled in 50 liter and 40 liter cylinders.
Guygas also manufactures and bottles Acetylene for distribution.
Other Services
Guygas is a supplier of Kohler propane generators. We do, in fact, work with any brand chosen by the customer. Propane generators require minimal maintenance and are generally more fuel efficient than other generating units. Furthermore, if Guygas installs a monitored bulk storage tank, there is no need for cumbersome refueling.
Rheem and Rinnai propane water heaters are available as alternatives to solar or electric. Propane heaters are more dependable and less expensive in the long term than solar or electric heaters.
Propane clothes dryers are also more reliable and less expensive than electric dryers.
Customers can enjoy the comforts and success of their homes and businesses by combining power generation, cooking, water heating, and clothes drying applications into one unit monitored by a modern system installed by Guygas.
Safety
- Before leaving your supplier, you have the right to check that your cylinder isn’t leaking. All cylinders are factory checked and certified leak free before delivery to the dealer.
- Connecting a cylinder is easy. Our retailer will be able to show you if you are unfamiliar
- The Kosan Jumbo type valve is connected by placing the regulator, its on/off lever, off, level and directly over the valve on a cylinder in its upright position.
- Lower the regulator until its opening makes contact with the top of the valve then slide the outer sleeve down locking the regulator on to the valve. 45kg cylinders have a POL type valve . The nut on the pigtail tuns anticlockwise.
- When transporting a cylinder always store it in a secure and upright position so it can’t fall shift or roll
- Do not connect a cylinder to faulty components.
- Don’t leave your cylinder in a hot vehicle. Remove your cylinder from your vehicle immediately on arrival at your destination
- Check that the connection is tight then slowly turn on the regulator paying keen attention to any sound or smell of gas escaping
- Check around the connection including by the hose and clamp (or pigtail) for a pungent smell indicating gas is escaping. If so, turn off the regulator, remove the regulator from the cylinder by unlocking the valve, reversing the step above
- Take the cylinder to a well ventilated area where there is free air flow. Open all nearby windows and doors and turn off any source of ignition. Return the cylinder to your retailer
- If there is no sense of gas escaping continue the installation by using soap suds to check for leaks around the regulator and connections. Any bubbling of the soap would mean gas is escaping. Tighten those connections and test again. If there’s still evidence of a leak please inspect your hose, clamps and regulator for possible replacement. Repeat the safety steps above. It is recommended that a LPG rated hose be replaced every two years and regulator every 5 years. All should be ISO or equivalent certified.
